Normally, I agree with Gregg Doyel, but how does he figure Oakland is the Region of Death? Let's look at the 2, 3 and 4 seeds. Looking at Saragin's Rating for them, UCLA ranks 15, Gonzaga ranks 18 and Kansas ranks 10, for a total of 43.
The Minneapolis Region has OSU ranked 9, Florida ranked 8 and BC ranked 16 for a total of 33. The Atlanta Region has Texas ranked 4, Iowa ranked 14 and LSU ranked 12 for a total of 28 and DC has Tennessee ranked 13, UNC ranked 6 and Illinois ranked 7 for a total of 26. (Okay, maybe UConn has a tougher road then I thought!)
Now Pittsburgh is a strong the #5 seed, but the Oakland Region is hardly a Region of Death.
