Quick Bracket Thoughts

Okay, here are my first impressions of the NCAA Tourney Brackets:

Toughest: Minneapolis. Whose wife did Jay Wright f***? The road to the title could be against Wisconsin, BC and OSU? Ouch.

Honorable Mention: Atlanta. Usually, I am amazed at the easy draw Duke gets. Not this year. There second round match should be against GW, who was ranked 6th in the nation last week. Coach K can bitch all he wants this year and I will be sympathetic. Of course, if Pops Mensah-Bonsu is not playing...they still might face Syracuse/LSU.

Easiest: Oakland. UCLA, Gonzaga and Kansas as 2, 3 and 4. Two team that play in weak conferences and a young Kansas team. Now a Kansas/Pitt match-up might give Memphis fits, but overall, it should be a walk for the Tigers. Of course, I am not sure I relish playing Arkansas/Bucknell early as either of those teams could be deadly to someone looking past them.

Some have said UConn's DC Bracket is easier. I would suggest that, excepting Tennessee as the #2 seed, it is tougher then Oakland. That being said, UConn is RELATIVELY better against their Bracket then Memphis is against theirs.

Elite 8: LSU, Texas, Memphis, Marquette, UConn, UNC, Villanova, Florida.

Final Four: Texas, Memphis, UConn and Villanova.

Finals: UConn and Texas

Champion: UConn.

Biggest potential letdown: UConn. Please guys, stay awake this time...
